Hi! I'm Christy Rock and I'm from Georgetown, Kentucky!
Howlong have you been a realtor?
Since 2012!
Whatare your professional specializations?
When I first started as a realtor, I participated in a few short sales, but these days I specialize in residential real estate and building and remodeling with a focus on Ball Homes properties.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always knew that I wanted to help people. When I was a kid, I thought about being a teacher so that I could help people. My mom was a teacher and I always loved my own teachers, so I relly thought that would be a perfect fit for me.
I also considered becoming a nurse, again for the people-helping factor and I found the medical field super interesting!
What are your favorite local businesses?
I love, love, love Georgetown and everything about it. My G-town favorites...
Restaurant: Galvin's
Bar: Country Boy and Slainte Pub
And there are so many great local shops downtown... I'm a regular at Oh Sew Cute, Em & Me, and Miss Behaven.
Lexington, Cincinnati, or Louisville airport?
Lexington. It's the closest to me and it's the perfect size - so easy to get in and out of!
Universityof Kentucky or University of Louisville?
UK - GO CATS! But I cheer for Louisville or any team in our great state... as long as they're not playing the CATS.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Travel and spend time with family and friends!! I am also currently taking an adult tap and jazz class - you're never too old to learn!
What's the most underrated thing about Kentucky?
We take the beauty of our back roads for granted! Kentucky seriously has so much to offer... beautiful lakes, caves, and hiking trails. All of that plus the unbelievable Bourbon Trail and our beautiful horse farms. Those back roads never get old for me.
Whatis your favorite thing about being a realtor?
The people. I really do love helping people. Seeing the smile on their face at the end of the transaction is what it's all about. It's about WAY more than sticks and stones; home is where the heart is.
What is the best or most memorable advice you've received? Career or personal!
The best advice I've ever received is personal and professional - THE GOLDEN RULE. Treat others as you wish to be treated.
